This pairing is usually a hit or miss type. I find there are more good English fanfics that center on the relationship evolving from the actual HP characters than Chinese ones. Most of the Chinese ones I've read contain very extreme viewpoints, but it's interesting to read about original characters. I hate it when people try to redeem Voldemort as a lot of these do. Lots of people have crappy childhoods, most of them do not grow up to be serial killers.
On the other hand, most English stories aren't very long, sigh.
Oh, and I haven't read things on fanfiction.net for a while, hm, I'll go check this story out when I have time.
